Child Benefit Not Paid

Child Benefit Payments Delayed

Thousands of Parents Still Waiting for June Payments

HMRC Apologizes for the Delay

Since April, parents have been able to claim £25.60 a week for one child and £16.95 for each subsequent child. By claiming Child Benefit, you can get an allowance paid to you for each child - you'll usually get it every 4 weeks.

However, many Child Benefit claimants are yet to receive their monthly payment for June, which was due today. HMRC has apologized for the delay, which has affected around 500,000 families.

HMRC has said that the delay is due to a "technical issue" and that payments are being processed as quickly as possible. They have also said that they will be contacting all affected families to let them know when their payment will be made.

In the meantime, HMRC has advised families who have not yet received their payment to contact their local Jobcentre Plus office.

As of August 2023, 6.91 million families were in receipt of child benefit payments.

The Child Tax Credit (CTC) is a US federal tax relief for parents or guardians to help with the costs of raising children.
