Jonathan Quick: The Legendary NHL Goaltender
Early Life and Hockey Beginnings
Jonathan Quick was born on January 21, 1986, in Milford, Connecticut. He grew up playing hockey and excelled as a goaltender from a young age. Quick played for various youth teams before joining the Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) in 2003-04.
In the USHL, Quick quickly established himself as a top prospect. He led the Lancers to the playoffs in both seasons he played with the team and earned USHL All-Star honors in 2004-05.
Quick's impressive performances caught the attention of the Los Angeles Kings, who drafted him in the third round (72nd overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
NHL Career

Throughout his NHL career, Quick has consistently ranked among the league's top goaltenders. He has won the Jennings Trophy, awarded to the goaltender with the lowest goals-against average, twice (2013-14 and 2015-16).
International Career
Quick has also represented the United States internationally. He was part of the US team that won the silver medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and the gold medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
Quick also played for the US team at the IIHF World Championships, winning bronze medals in 2009 and 2013. He was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2013.
